London Fashion Week it’s a heady mix of fashion and cataclysmic street style that only seems to show itself twice a year!  We were buzzing around various shows and parties but our highlight of the week was meeting the unstoppable vigueur de la mode, Anna Della Russo. We we’re invited to Anna’s talk at the V&A Museum during London Fashion Week, which was part of the Peroni's Collaborazioni series. The night was hosted by the respected style director of ES Magazine, Gianluca Longo. We managed to get these exclusive pictures as we bumped into her leaving the Museum (it pays to be the last to leave the cocktail reception due to mammoth catch-ups with fellow fashion friends).

As the previous editor-at-large  at Japanese Vogue, turned designer muse, turned international style icon and blogger; although just in from New York Fashion Week she literally shone! The outfit choice was a heavily adorned and customised, Fausto Puglisi dress, white feathered YSL cape and Piers Atkinson with Alan Journo silver bauble headpiece! The outfit had a thrifty second outing as she attended Victoria Beckham’s London Fashion Week party at Harvey Nichols straight after.

So what did she tell us? In her heavy Italian accent she spoke about her favourite designers, outfits, blogs, Vogue Japan editorials and how to make it in the industry. We especially loved the moment during the Q&A where one brave fashion student asked if he could design an outfit and present it to her during the S/S 13 shows in September. There was an audible sigh from the heavy ‘fashion’ audience as the whole room gave recognition to this courageous young man. We held our breathe, clapped and waited for the answer, it was less filmatic “go to my blog for my email”, ah well.

One of our favourite images of the night,  the self-entitled 'Tranny Della Russo's!

Watch the talk in full and hear such gems such as her plans for the future (she wants to release a record) how her outfits are planned (with precision 6 months in advance) and that she owns over 4000 pairs of shoes (last count)! We Anna Della salute you!
